Join Canada eh Live on stage has ended its Toronto run!
This is Canada, and it’s aboot to get sketchy…
Join Canada, Eh! Live on Stage celebrates everything wonderfully weird about Canadian culture – we’re reclaiming stereotypes and roasting ourselves harder than a Tim Hortons double-double! And don’t worry – our southern neighbours aren’t safe from the shade either! Sorry, not sorry.
Starring Dale Boyer, Aurora Browne and Alastair Forbes, Natalie Metcalfe and Kris Siddiqi. Directed by Reid Janisse, with Nicole Byblow as Musical Director. Photos and video by John Bregar.

“Builder of dams and universal dignity. Emotionally stable (unlike the U.S healthcare system). I believe in hard work, hard wood, and soft power. Looking for someone who doesn’t mind early mornings, publicly funded medicine, and free-range facts.”
“Loud, loyal, and legally in love with socialized medicine. I honk for justice, hiss at fascists, and believe every state deserves universal daycare. Will chase you if you vote wrong.”
“Glide into my DMs like Canada glides through global rankings, baby. Seeking someone who recycles and won’t vote for sea-level rise.
Climate action = Cuteness protection.”
“Big frame, bigger heart, and a healthcare card that covers antler injuries. I don’t own guns. I own warmth, empathy, and snowshoes. Looking for someone who values calm leadership over cults.”
“My country funds the arts and my rabies shots. Our neighbor? TikTok hearings and trauma. Swipe right if you like chaos, kindness, and knowing your ambulance won’t bankrupt you.”
“Low drama, high impact. I hibernate stress-free thanks to universal healthcare and low gun violence. If you bring conspiracy theories, I bring claws. Looking for someone warm, honest, and slightly socialist.”
You are invited to Join Canada, Eh! The Stage Play! Don’t miss the chaos, the comedy, and most importantly, the healthcare plan.
51st state? We say nay!
11th province? You say: Eh?!
In response to certain statements by certain presidents, “Join Canada, Eh” started as a satirical social experiment that asked Americans to vote for their state to become Canada’s 11th province. Our aim was to embrace the absurdity of the times from a Canadian perspective, proving that even in dark moments, humour can prevail without compromising our values or joy. And more than 1 million Americans agreed – and voted for their state to become Canada’s 11th province!
Join Canada, Eh sparked an unexpected outpouring of love for Canada, and thoughtful dialogue between Americans and Canadians. We ended up crafting a space where people could voice concerns and share laughs. Amidst uncertainty, we found common ground, celebrating our differences and fostering unity – in the most Canadian way possible!
Join Canada, Eh! Live on Stage is created and brought to life by Second City alums, including Kris Siddiqi, Natalie Metcalfe, Dale Boyer, Aurora Browne and Alastair Forbes. Directed by Reid Janisse, with Nicole Byblow as Musical Director.

“I love how much wilderness there is. I love living in Toronto – having the vibrancy of the world – but then going out to places where you can’t even see another person. And seeing beautiful mountains and lakes, and rivers, and streams, and everything else.”
– Aurora Browne
“A lot of people say one great thing about Canada is that I’m here. Like, a lot of people say that. By a lot of people, I mean my wife. I’m just kidding. My wife would never say that.”
– Alastair Forbes
“You are surrounded by some of the most beautiful nature you have ever seen. And we can smoke weed.”
– Kris Siddiqi
“Personally, I love how big Canada is. I haven’t been everywhere, and I probably won’t get to see everything … But I love the idea of dreaming other places I can go to.”
– Dale Boyer
“We have the funniest people in the world. Every single amazing comedian that you know of, that you watch, is Canadian.”
– Natalie Metcalfe
Remember that viral poll where over a million Americans cheekily voted to turn their state into Canada’s 11th province? We’re bringing that tongue‑in‑cheek experiment off the screen and onto the stage—bigger, bolder and 100 % more polite (well… mostly).
